Ryan McAllister has been writing, recording and producing music for the past decade. His career began as singer/songwriter for the band Dakona. In 2001, the young Vancouver quartet was the subject of a seven label bidding war and signed with Madonna’s Maverick Records.  The band toured North America extensively, and in 2003 they released Perfect Change.  Soon after, following a massive reshuffling at Maverick, Dakona lost their deal and McAllister found his accidental profession, recording indie bands in the little rehersal space the Dakona boys had built with their record deal advance. ...more about Ryan McAllister

Don’t be fooled by Daniel Huscroft’s unpolished exterior. Behind the bushy beard and dusty boots lies a masterful musician who cut his teeth on a piano, and picked up his first violin when he was five. His new album, Here is Just For Now, marries country, roots and soul, while capturing his mountain upbringing in the Canadian Kootenays. He has created his own brand of evergreen soul, blending acoustic guitar, strings and piano in 13 stunning tracks. Though a seasoned guitarist, producer and award-winning songwriter Here is Just For Now is Huscroft’s first effort as a frontman. Funded in part by a grant from the Canadian Council for the Arts, and co-produced by Daniel Mendez (Dashboard Confessional, Duran Duran), the album, like Huscroft himself, intentionally lacks the polished production one expects from a studio veteran. ...more about Daniel Huscroft
