We are pleased to have the work of Joshua Ferguson up on our walls for the month of November! Come down to the cafe to view and check out more about Joshua below.
I am a painter and art educator with an open studio at #9-375 Bernard Ave in Downtown Kelowna, BC, located within the collaborative arts space,heARTschool. I have exhibited my paintings and monotype prints locally and internationally through The Waterbrook Gallery, The Clyde and Mary Harris Gallery, Sopa Fine Arts, The Creatio Gallery, The Crow’s Shadow Institute, as well as various coee houses and home retail spaces.
I was awarded a Bachelor of Art’s degree, with distinction, from Walla Walla University concentrating in Painting and Printmaking. During my studies I was fortunate enough to be instructed and mentored by Northwest artists such as Martha Mason, Squire Broel, Glen Greenwaldt, Jim Dine, MaLynda Poulsen-Jones, Tom Emmerson, and Frank Janzen.
My current work explores the similarities in the organic geometry and architecture of nature. I utilize a variety of water based mediums to promote these ideas allowing the work to evolve over time. The nal image being a singular projection representing a linear series of actions.
