Jonathan Inc. graces the Streaming Cafe stage this Saturday night. He has released his new album “lost:time” (available at bandcamp) this last month and anyone that waits to release their album until the white vinyl records arrive is good in my books! Jonathan Anderson aka Jonathan Inc. is not only an accomplished musician but is a mainstay producer for many artists that have performed over the last two years at the cafe.
Jonathan Inc. began in 1996 as a solo vehicle for Jonathan’s songs and has since distilled itself into a band. Twice nominated for Georgia Straight music awards, the busy multi-instrumentalist is also a founding member of the internationally acclaimed Radiogram and has toured extensively with them across Canada and The United Kingdom. Anderson has also become one of the Lower Mainland’s most prolific producers working out of his studio, Buena Vista Audio. Besides Jonathan Inc., Anderson has recently produced albums for Maplewood Lane, Stabilo, In Medias Res, Jack Harlan and Hinterland.

Three more days until American folk legend David Wilcox performs at Streaming Cafe and we are all looking forward to what I know is going to be an amazing concert. This is going to be a rare opportunity to see David up close and personal in a small intimate listening room.
There are a limited amount of tickets, so if you haven`t picked them up yet, hurry and grab them before they are gone!
If you can`t be in Kelowna and able to see this show in person, be sure to watch live online at 7pm Pacific Standard Time @ http://www.streamingcafe.net/ . Thursday, January 27th.
Check out this cool clip I found from David`s appearance on Conan O`Brien in 1994.
See yah at the show!
Word spread about Pat from the last time he performed at the cafe in March of last year and he didn`t disappoint. Creating a wall of sound with the use of the loop pedal, he his layered vocals, AC guitar and ukulele, making it easy to connect with his easily assessable songs. It was really cool to see comments coming in from our online audience from across the globe, Australia, US and even Pat`s father was watching from China ( I guess we were able to pass China`s stringent internet censorship!).

The talented Ari Neufeld was looking for feedback on his tunes from the audience as he was preparing to go into the studio to record his first “pro“ EP. He gave the audience set lists and asked for honest feed back on favorite or not so favorite songs in hopes of putting a solid album together. Ari has performed at the cafe a few times in the past and was happily surprised by the positive crowd response!
Thanks to everyone who tuned in online or came down to the cafe, we`re looking forward to a great year of music at Streaming Cafe
Here`s some videos from Jan 8th and 15th.
